Herbs, courgette, cabbage, etc in pots and recycled boxes/tubs. A self fertilising apple tree grows in a large pot. I had good success with leeks in pots two years ago and will do that again this year.Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06263430746482725687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7912468918847715397.post-61750586888861140122012-02-08T19:26:12.966+00:002012-02-08T19:26:12.966+00:00I used to grow lots of veg in containers before I ...I used to grow lots of veg in containers before I got my allotment. I still grow all my salad in containers, it's much cleaner that way and doesn't get as much pest damage, especially from slugs. The only downside is watering, you have to be vigilant to ensure the containers don't dry out.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7912468918847715397.post-2194457179773216802012-02-08T18:25:39.354+00:002012-02-08T18:25:39.354+00:00At our previous house, I to grow 'a tomato'...At our previous house, I to grow 'a tomato' plant, runner beans, carrots and lettuce in containers.
